This workshop introduces the broad-edged or flat brush using the familiar humanist hands ( roman minuscule. italic, flourished caps, and majuscule) but redesigning them to suit the brush, adding the characteristic serifs, swells and flourishes. Purchasing an edged lettering brush, learning some fun warm-ups, tackling tool manipulation (easier with the brush!) and ‘word poem on fabric are some to the topics that will be covered in this workshop as we get a feel for this flexible tool.
